Receiving
- Donations are dropped off at our back door by members of the community.
Sorting
- Items are sorted by department and distributed to various work stations.
Testing
- Electric items are tested to ensure that they work before being sold.
Clothing Sorting
- Wearable articles are sorted by condition and size, then hung on hangers and appropriate racks.
Tagging
- Clothes are marked with colored tags to indicate when they are put on the sales floor. Periodically we pull clothes that have not sold to make room for new donations.
Cleaning
- Items in various departments are cleaned at work stations, since we value selling items in good condition.
Pricing
- All items are priced before being displayed in the store.
Stocking
- Volunteers assist with bringing items out for sale and creatively arranging displays.
Cashier
- Volunteers work in pairs to process and package purchased items for custsomers.
Greeting
- We strive to promote a friendly and helpful environment in our store so our customers feel welcome.
